Good food, fine drinks and warm hospitality — served beside Launceston's iconic 30‑metre waterfall.
Sip 'N' Dine Indian Kitchen & Bar has taken over the waterfall-side dining room at Penny Royal — the same striking space Launceston has long loved, now under new ownership and with a warm, hands-on style of hospitality at its heart.
We're settling in gently: for now, our kitchen is serving the much-loved existing menu while we prepare our own Indian-inspired dishes, cocktails and flavours for the room. Come by for a familiar favourite today, and watch this space for what's next.
Tasmania's only restaurant built into the base of a cliff, beside a cascading waterfall and a fleet of historic tall ships.
Dine and drink metres from a 30‑metre cascade, framed by cliff walks and tall ships on the water.
Cocktails, Tasmanian spirits and wine by the glass at our marble bar and glass‑walled Waterfall Lounge.
A hands-on, family-style welcome — the kind of genuine service that turns first-time guests into regulars.
Our current menu, carried over during the handover — modern plates, quality produce.
Settle in at our marble-topped bar or the glass-walled Waterfall Lounge, where the cascade is visible by day and beautifully lit after dark. Expect thoughtful cocktails, a strong regional spirits list and wine preserved and poured by the glass.
Our bar team is already reworking the drinks list with Indian-spiced twists on the classics — ask what's new when you visit.
